The right stamp saves you time in everyday work and leaves a professional impression on documents. Since the choice is large – from self-inking to dater stamps – we have prepared a simple guide to help you choose the stamp that fits your needs.

1. Define the purpose of the stamp

First, decide what you will stamp most often. For businesses, the most common are business stamps with the company name, address and VAT number. For the office, text stamps (“Paid”, “Received”, “Copy”) and dater stamps come in handy. Craftsmen and creatives often need a stamp with a logo.

2. Choose the type of mechanism

  • Self-inking stamps (Trodat, Ultimark) have a built-in pad and give thousands of clean impressions without a separate pad. The most convenient for frequent use.
  • Rubber stamps with a handle are affordable and suitable for occasional use; they need a separate ink pad.
  • Dater stamps allow you to set the date and are indispensable in accounting and logistics.
  • Pocket stamps are compact and ideal for work in the field.

3. Consider the impression size

Choose the size according to the amount of text. A smaller model (e.g. Trodat 4911) is enough for a few lines, while a larger impression is needed for a logo and more lines. If you are not sure, we will help you choose the right size.

4. Design your custom stamp

You can design the stamp content yourself with our online stamp configurator or send us your text and logo, and we will prepare a preview of the impression for your approval.
